4-Butylresorcinol
In-vitro assays evaluating human tyrosinase inhibition have demonstrated that 4-butylresorcinol exhibits markedly superior inhibitory activity compared with several widely used depigmenting agents, including kojic acid, hydroquinone, and arbutin. These findings highlight its strong mechanistic potential as a melanogenesis inhibitor and support its clinical efficacy in reducing hyperpigmentation.
